This project is a mind map that discusses the procedures for handling a corpse according to Islamic law. I created this mind map to facilitate understanding in a concise yet structured visual format.
There are four main points in this mind map:
Washing the Corpse – starting with covering the bathing area, relaxing the joints, removing clothing, covering the genitals, removing impurities, performing ablution, soaping the body with soap, combing the hair, and drying the body.
Shrouding the Corpse – performed by spreading the shroud, placing the corpse in the center, covering the body in layers, and tying it at the head, feet, chest, abdomen, and thighs.
Praying over the Corpse – starting with the intention, followed by four takbirs, reciting Al-Fatihah, salawat (prayer) on the Prophet, a prayer for the deceased, and concluding with a greeting.
Burying a Body – includes digging a grave, placing the body with prayers, positioning the body at its right angle, facing the Qibla, covering the grave with soil, and raising the grave slightly as a sign.
With this mind map, learning about funeral arrangements becomes easier to understand, more structured, and can be used as a medium for preaching and education.
